Dr. Ben Porter is a mobile veterinary surgeon, visiting practices in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Ben studied at the University of Melbourne, graduating as class Valedictorian with Honours.

Ben holds a Membership with the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, and has served

as College examiner and as Head Subject Examiner over a number of years.
Ben's clinical background is as an owner (in partnership) of a group of 5 GP veterinary clinics and a Veterinary Specialist Referral Centre on the Mornington Peninsula, serving as the lead general surgeon for the GP network within the group.

In addition, Ben has spent time as a demonstrator in University Anatomy practical classes, and developed a rotational clinical placement & teaching program for all final year students at the University of Melbourne - uniting the Faculty with the General Practices and Specialist Referral Hospital on the Peninsula.

Ben and his family live on the Mornington Peninsula. In their downtime, they can be found participating all manners of local sports, travelling & exploring; or relaxing at home with their super-Beagle, 'Crackle', their confused cat 'Reggie' (who thinks he is a dog) or their affectionate squadron of backyard chickens, who rule the roost.
